This is sufficiently awesome. It's sometimes fun to give Phil Mickelson the business, what with the man boobs and the freaky perma-smile, but there's no denying that he's the world's second-best golfer (no matter what Ian Poulter might say ... and then retract), and generally considered a swell guy.
And he's even sweller in the eyes of the Fockler family. Instead of following Mickelson during the final round of the FBR Open, Mickelson's caddie, Bones Mackay, gave John Fockler and his son, Drew, two tickets to the Super Bowl.
So not only did the Focklers get to see arguably the most exciting Super Bowl ever, they also were spared the pain of watching their favorite player turn a 63 into a 67 before losing the tournament to J.B. Holmes in a playoff. So everybody wins (well, except Phil) and Dana Jacobson didn't once drop an f-bomb. A pretty cool story all around.
Phil Mickelson is a class act. Not only did he show a generous unselfish side to him by giving away the tickets, he showed what a family man he is and actually he always has. I love the way he does not play it safe, he goes for the gusto, this shows me that he's not playing golf just for the money, he's playing for the love of the game! Way to go and keep it up young man.

Phil has always been a straight up guy. A real person we can all look up to !! Would like to meet him some day and thank him for being who he is.
We have plenty of the show-off guys that don't set a very good example for our young kids.

Poor Phil was too busy peeking behind himself fretting, "Where's Tiger. Where's Tiger"....
