And I've always wondered why people hated Colin Montgomerie. According to The Independent, Monty, who has choked away various opportunities to win a major title over the years, had some imbecilic thoughts on why he didn't earn a Masters invite this year (well, other than the obvious fact that he's an angry, washed-up golfer with a nice set of hooters): ... the scowling Scot poked fun at Augusta National for its eligibility and said the club panders to Asian players because of its television markets.Yes, Monty, because you were so vocal about this perceived injustice the 15 other times you played the Masters. Here's an idea: shut up. Nobody cares. Or better yet, win a tournament every once in a while. It makes qualifying for the Masters infinitely easier. As it stands, Montgomerie has only one top-10 finish in his 15 appearances at Augusta National, and has missed the cut in five of his last six tries.
"There has been no call from Augusta and I am not expecting one," Montgomerie said. "Now, if I were the only person in the country, a la China, I might get in. It is a strange way to make up a field for a major championship -- television rights. They are quite open about why."
He noted that the last time he missed the Masters, in 2005, the club took Shingo Katayama because of Japanese TV rights. "And they have done the same with Thailand and China this time," Monty said. "I am not the only one who feels that way and not just because I am not in. In or not, I'd be saying the same thing. It is a strange criterion to pick a major field.
And somehow, this is the fault of an entire continent. Silver lining: at least now Monty won't have to worry about Masters patrons taunting him and his ginormous rabbit ears.

Montgomery is a whining, washed-up, spoiled hacker who was never really very great. He played well in some Ryder Cups but generally sucked in individual PGA events, never winning a major over a long career.
I am of Scottish descent and have tried over the years to like this pathetic baby, but it is impossible. His ex-wife was a good judge of character in the end.

If no one cares and therefore presumably, no one is listening, what is your motive for reporting this story?
