Charles Barkley Says Tiger Woods Is 'Useless' as a Swing Coach

If you have ever seen Charles Barkley's golf swing while on the course, you know that he's not exactly in line for a tour card. And you also have to wonder not only how many strokes Tiger and MJ spot him but how much cash he's coughed up to the two over the years on the course. If gambling was legal at Bushwood, that is.

Well, his prospects for becoming a professional golfer aren't getting any better thanks to Woods, who Barkley called "useless" for helping his swing in a Sportscenter interview. As transcribed by HG at You Been Blinded:

Jay Harris: How is your golf game?

Charles Barkley: I am struggling bro. I am stru-ggl-ling. I have no idea. I'm terrified over a golf ball. I got no idea what's going to happen. I just hope I don't kill anybody.

JH: You got access to videos, you Tiger on speed dial, what's up?

CB: Hey, Tiger.. I gotta tell you something.. He has been absolutely useless with my golf game. He's been absolutely useless with my golf game. You know what, you'd think the greatest player of all-time could give me some type of positive feedback, give me one little thing to make it click, but he's been useless.

JH: I think you're calling him out right now on ESPN. Are you calling Tiger out?

CB: It drives me crazy. It drives me crazy. I ask him for advice all the time but he's been absolutely useless. And now he's got all this free time you'd think he'd take some time to come and work with me.

Can't say I blame Tiger, honestly. Between being a professional golfer and being, you know, Tiger, he doesn't have that much time on his hands. Plus, in case he never comes back, playing a weekly round with Chuck can still guarantee him "first billionaire athlete" status.
