I don't think anyone actually thinks Phil Mickelson is going to win the PGA Championship. Mickelson is in denial about the way he's playing, and he's probably more likely to miss the cut than he is to win.

And yet, as this Tiger-free PGA Championship approaches, there Mickelson is, atop the Bodog odds, practically by default:

I like those 20-1 odds for Furyk, but the most telling thing about the above list is just how ridiculous the odds for Tiger Woods have been. To have even odds before the Masters and 5-2 odds before the U.S. Open just isn't normal. Odds in the 9-1 range are much more common for a favorite, although in this case, it's a favorite I really can't see betting on.
