Yep, that didn't last. Here's an extended version of his post-round press conference, and if you're an impatient sort, just fast forward to the 1:20 mark or so.
For those of you too lazy to watch the video (but, oddly, not too lazy to read) Internet golf expert Shane Bacon explains:
... [Garcia] went ahead and gave the media a little leg sweep, saying they'll turn around anything he says to make him look bad. It's worth watching, especially if you're on the fence about Sergio. Did you know he's never hit a bad shot? The thing is, when Sergio finally wins a major, he'll probably be more unbearable than he is now. Awesome. Perhaps Vijay Singh can give him some advice about how to handle fame.
* To be fair, he didn't choke on Sunday, but after hearing him bellyache I sorta wish he had.

I have to admit, I enjoyed watching Sergio on Sunday and actually caught myself rooting for him. I realized he has a history of doing things to make him "unlikeable." But, when he is hitting the ball like he was on Sunday, it was a joy to watch. Since the imfamous cup spitting incident, I went from rooting against him, to not caring if he ever wins a major, to kind of hoping he does some day...
By the way, what was he drinking? It looked like Gatorade Tiger!

I watched the clip twice and he didn't sound like a whiny baby. He kept on looking at the positives of his game. The comment about the media turning it around doesn't make him whiny. Clearly he was right on because this article is a perfect example of how things can get twisted around by the media.

This is all Shane Bacon's fault.

I'm getting a little sick of these post-game/round comments being used against players, especially after a tough loss. How would you like it after a tough day at work (or getting fired or layed off) someone came up and stuck a microphone in your face and said, how are you feeling right now and how did you manage to mess that up? I bet your response wouldn't be all the graceful.
