Apparently these days, if you kill an animal people sure do make a fine ruckus about it.Everyone's favorite professional golfer turned hawk murderer, Tripp Isenhour, pleaded no contest on Friday to intentionally killing a hawk and after all the dust he blew in the air around these parts, didn't get much of a sentence.
Attorney David de Armas said Friday that Isenhour agreed to one year of supervised probation, four hours of anger management classes and 100 hours of community service. Forty hours must be performed at a wildlife or animal shelter. He also must pay a $500 fine.
Isenhour was charged with animal cruelty and killing a migratory bird. He was accused of hitting the bird with a golf shot when its loud chirps interrupted the filming of an instructional video in Orlando.
This entire thing came because Isenhour was annoyed at a bird when filming an instructional golf video and instead of running at the bird flailing his arms like most people do, he just hit a ball at the bird. Guess what, hole-in-waterfowl!
Obviously killing animals is a big no-no (besides cows, because they are yummy), but isn't it a little crazy that this guy hit a bird with a golf shot? No matter if he's a golf pro or not, that is a pretty "amazing" golf shot. I think a better punishment for Isenhour would be to have a bunch of youth golfers taking turns swinging golf clubs at the pro like a Pinata. It might not make him understand what he did but boy, would that be fun to watch?

This golfer got off because he is a noted person. The justice system always was a joke. He should be banned for life fom the PGA and given a jail sentence. That poor bird didn't have a club in his beak to fight back or a chance to fly away and also had a painful death. Imagine what this pro would to to a human? A killer is a killer. I hope he is booed the rest of his career when he is on the golf course.

As a golfer who at one time thought scoring was only thing.
This take golf back 100 years. You always hear about conservation, Zen with nature. Whats next, killing fish because your ball went into water. If this guy isn't baned for life, Shame onPGA . This guy shouldn't even be allowed on course.

No name golfer, making an instructional video, nobody will buy, then kills a hawk for fun. Hope he gets booed when playing or should I say makes an early exit. Someone should walk up to him and bodyslam or take his knee out for fun. Total lowlife.

Animal rights advocates are hypocrites if they personally kill mosquetos, flys, or use chemical "weapons" on insects around their house. That makes them just as bad as Sadam Hussein who used chemical weapons on people. If, according to the author, we should to beat people with clubs for killing animals, let's be consistent and club child molesters, rapists, thieves, and other violent offenders.

If his aim is THAT good, he'd be a championship caliber golfer. Doesn't anyone think he was just trying to scatter the birds, not kill one? It was the wrong thing to do, because he should have known that he might hit one, but he didn't intentionally kill the hawk.
