The doubters (raises hand) can quit their grumbling for a day or so,because it appears Michelle Wie is on track to move on to the finals of LPGA Qualifying School.
Today at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Wie fired a seven-under 65 to put her alone in second place, three shots back of Sun-Ju Ahn, who posted her second straight 66 and is currently at 12-under for the tournament.
Wie has struggled for most of the year, making just five of nine cuts with just one top-10. A lot of people thought her game might have truly hit a wall but at nine under after two days, she looks to be in perfect position to move to the finals of Q-School in Daytona Beach, Florida.
It appears Michelle is a huge fan of this golf course, site of her breakout into golf in 2003. Wie was in the final group of the Kraft Nabisco Championship after rounds of 72-74-66 before closing with a 76 and finishing ninth.
The field of 164 will be cut to 70 tonight and the top-30 and ties make it to the finals December 3-7.

Good for Michele, have always said she has the talent, just needs the guidance, She is young and just needs some time to get it all together.
This is great for her. Now that she is starting from square one, I'm sure she will focus on excelling on the women's tour and will give up trying to compete with men until she's a true success with the women.
LOL
I don't believe a word of what I just typed.
