Tiger Woods Is Very Happy With President Barack Obama

If there is one gripe most people would have about Tiger Woods, it's that the man who has such a great opportunity as a famous black athlete normally hits the mute button at any sign of controversy.

Honestly, Woods almost goes out of his way to avoid ruffling any feathers, which makes the following all the more important.

Woods, who has stayed quiet on any questions centering around the presidential contest, told some reporters that he was happy with the choice of Barack Obama as the next president of the United States.
"It will be one of the great days in America to see a man of color in the White House."

Woods said Obama's victory pleased him and it would have pleased his father, the late Earl Woods, who was a retired Army officer.

"My father hoped he would see a man of color elected president in his lifetime," Woods said. "He didn't see it, but I hoped that I would see it."

Trust me, it is a big deal if Tiger is speaking about it, and from the lines it appears he was probably more on board with Obama than John McCain. Or it doesn't, I can't really tell and Tiger is probably the best athlete ever at saying just enough to get you thinking but not enough to make you certain.

While this is a very interesting concept, with Woods on board with Obama, it still doesn't answer the burning questions most golf fans have been asking. WHO DID JOHN DALY ENDORSE?!?!?! I was still surprised not to see him in Denver introducing one of the key speakers at the Democratic National Convention a few months ago. Memo to John -- there are Hooters in Denver. I've actually been to one*.

* = that is a rough calculation, with an accuracy of +/- 36.
