This weekend, FanHouse will be out at the FBR Open, a tournament known more for its party atmosphere than its golf.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- I'm all for pushing the envelope. Dudes wearing chick-jeans, girls wearing their boyfriends' Jinco Jeans; it is all good. What I'm not sure about, however, is this headband look that Ryan Moore sported at the Justin Timberlake Shriner Tournament last year, or the outfit he was wearing on Friday at the 2009 FBR Open that was a little too Bagger Vance for my tastes.
An interesting moment happened Thursday as I was observing the golf tournament. Seated in the new grandstands on the always entertaining 16th hole, Ryan Moore hit a shot in there about 30 feet from the hole, rolled the lip with the putt and tapped in for par. Now, it is tradition for the fans to cheer for the golfer's ball after the finish-up. "Throw it here, throw it here!"
Moore faked the throw and decided against it, to a chorus of boos. Since there is no photo of what Moore was wearing yesterday, I'll explain. A purple (YURPLE!) V-neck sweater that, without an undershirt, was cut so low it might have revealed a little Janet Jackson, and tight corduroy pants with what looked like Airwalks.
After he faked the fans out, two things were heard. "Your sweater sucks!" and "Didn't you forget your skateboard?"

Dress for show...Putt for dough
I think this is great, most of the golfers look like NASCAR race cars. Ryan Moore is just being himself, wearing what he wants, not pimping anything. Love the throw back with the ties, reminds me that is a gentlemens game, and he dresses respectfully.
Good job Ryan
