In an effort to keep our golf visitors well informed on what is going on around the Internet, Range Balls is our weekly link dump. Every Tuesday during golf season, we will toss out some of the most interesting things we came across. If you have a tip, e-mail us at fanhousegolf@gmail.com. Enjoy the links.-- In a lengthy piece about "The Haney Project," Charles Barkley admits that he "felt bad, to be honest with you, that I didn't improve more for (Hank Haney)." If anyone watched the television show, they know how much the two worked together, but from this video at the Regions Charity Classic, it sure shows the nasty truth -- swing coaches aren't miracle workers. [The Sports Network]
-- An excellent point was posed over at Wei Under Par -- how much did the Tim Clark loss in the playoff last week at the Colonial resemble that of Kenny Perry at the Masters this year? Two golfers gunning for something neither had ever done, and both choking to players that had been there before. Both even had shots in the playoff hit things that altered the course of events. [Wei Under Par]
-- The best way to make Johnny Miller and Nick Faldo look incredibly intelligent? Ask made-up questions with real answers they've given in the past. [Armchair Golf Blog]
-- Natalie Gulbis sends out her love to the Mickelson family as Amy continues to battle breast cancer. [Devil Ball Golf]

Gee, Shane, I didn't think of it the way you put it -- but I like it. You think Johnny and Nick will thank me?

Had the privilege of playing with Barkley at Bay Hill a number of years ago: http://forelinksters.com/course/bay_hill_golf_club_orlando
Had the same silly swing then, it was very distracting...tried not to watch. One the first tee a bunch of members gathered around to watch us tee off, and when he swung, everyone was laughing thinking he was just fooling around, he turned around and said, Hey don't laugh, that's the swing that got me here. Gambled like a banchee, couldn't figure out why anyone would bet on that swing. Found out later, he bets on anything!
