Think back to 1992. The first George Bush was in office. "Aladdin" was the top-grossing movie in this whole new world, pulling in nearly $218 million dollars, and a scrawny, amateur golfer named Tiger Woods teed it up in his first ever PGA Tour event. Back then, the event was the Nissan Los Angeles Open, and Woods opened with at 1-over 72, eventually missing the cut at 5-over after following that up with a 75. On Thursday, at the Wegmans LPGA, Cheyenne Woods, niece to Tiger, made her debut on the LPGA, shooting a 3-over 75 to tie for 119th.
Cheyenne will be a sophomore at Wake Forest and will turn all of 19 at the end of July, but she had a respectable first year as a Demon Deacon. A T9 in her first event in the spring, Woods tied for 16th at NCAA Central Regionals and tied for 70th at the NCAAs.
Tiger's niece is still young, but has the look and the backing to continue her goal at golf and maybe one day, be somebody on the LPGA. Just think, if she can shoot even par Friday, her two-day total will beat Tiger's first time out with the big boys.

watch out Michelle Wie another roadblock to keep you from ever winning an LPGA tourney
damn she fine
not really
I thought he was an only child?
Its his NIECE not his sister. Can you read or do you just look at the colorful pictures?
You took the words right out of my mouth! I thought Tiger was an only child. I didn't know he had a sibling...
Alex.... You need a sibling to have nephews and nieces... on the other hand, it could be niece on his wife's side.
its either he has a brother or a sister who the daughter took her name from in order for her name to be woods too, duh alex!
Cheyenne Woods, what a beautiful young lady! Take all of the advice your uncle Tiger has to offer and you will be a superstar in the LPGA!
She sure looks like a Woods in the face...Good luck
I've heard of Cheyenne before as Tiger's niece, but I have never heard of a brother or sister of Tiger's. So what's up with that? And how does she get to be in the LPGA while still in college and not competing in the Q school? I smell a Tiger in the woodpile.
she's playing as an amature! an amature!
it's take time for cheyenne to lap the lpga field.it'll be a matter of time.cannot do it overnight!
It's called a sponsors exemption. You know, all those things that kept Michelle Wie playing all those years.
obviously she is from one of daddy's "outside playmates" that they tried to keep quiet, now, that she is making something of herself; they don't mind "embracing" her.
she got that tiger woods swing.the tiger has taught her well.all you sick perverts on this post judge cheyenne by her skill only!
Guys, the chances of her possessing the female equivalent of Tiger's talent and being dominant on the LPGA are between slim and none, and slim has probably already left town. Sure, she has an excellent chance of having an LPGA career, but the chances that one of a world beater's relatives will possess his kind of talent are minuscule. There's probably a better chance that she'll be struck by lightning.
Cheyanne is the daughter of Susan Woods & Earl Woods Jr., Earl Sr's oldest son from his first marriage. She has been raised by Susan, a wonderful mother and person who has nutured Cheyanne into a very polite personalable young lady.
I worked for Earl Woods Sr. through the Tiger Woods Foundation for eight years and I've know Cheyenne since she was eight years old. I would see her about twice a year and she was always a pleasure to be around and to this day is one of my favorite people. In Earl Sr's final couple of years of life he was so very proud of his granddaughter, Cheyenne. When he became too sick to travel, Earl would have me fly to a tournament to watch her and would call me each night after every round she played wanting a full accounting. He always spoke with such pride when he spoke about Cheyenne and I might add, would talk forever. He loved that little girl. I miss that man and his long talks-glad I enjoyed them while I had the chance!
The more we see of Cheyenne the more the public will come to adore this grounded human being. Susan really has done a great job.

Yes....siblings are needed in order for there to be nieces or nephews. Me thinks Alex just looks at the pictures.
Cheyenne father is Tiger's brother from another Mother...he has three siblings:Kevin, Earl Jr., and Royce. Earl Jr.
