I really can't think of anything more demoralizing than losing to Jimmy Fallon. At anything. (I suppose I should mention this is a spoiler alert for the handful of diehards who faithfully patronize "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.") But that's what happened to the world's best golfer this morning. After accepting Fallon's challenge earlier in the week, Tiger Woods made his way to Manhattan and proceeded to get whupped in his own game, Wii-style. Yep, that's right, Fallon, a self-proclaimed video game nut (That's mildly tolerable when you're in your early 20s; it's sad when you're in your mid 30s -- how is that not obvious?) "shot" par while Woods went double-bogey, bogey, quitting before the three-hole round was complete.
"I just got absolutely schooled in my own game," Woods said after the showdown at Times Square. "I certainly want a rematch."Translation: "Next time I see Fallon, I'll have Stevie break his legs." (Moving pictures after the jump.)
Fallon was predictably gracious, vapid:
"Tiger Woods is the biggest athlete in the world right now," Fallon said after the contest. "But I'm better when it comes to playing with my Wii."

Ryan, if there weren't a bunch of video game nuts in their 30's and beyond, there wouldn't be a whole lot of video games. When you type things such as that, it makes you sound old, such as "get off my lawn you whipper snappers!" kinda old.

Braves On The Warpath,
I'm a year older than Fallon but act like I'm 65. I've been that way since 8th grade, I think. So, yeah, I take your point. Also: I suck at video games, so there may be some underlying issues here. I'll freely admit that I could stand some therapy. (Not really. Maybe.)

Is this a euphemism for something dirty? Fallon plays with his Wii and beat Woods. Doesnt sound right to me.

Ryan.....I can't understand your "apparent" dislike for Jimmy Fallon. This young man grew up in my neighborhood. Shy, great sense of humor, terrific guitar player, famous people imitations etc. He does stand up which probably is to a primarily young audience. Ability to play video games, and make reference to them might be part of his routine. Also; do you really think that mid or upper thirties is to old to be accomplished at video games?? C'mon Ryan.....a little slack here!!

You are mistaken in your article. Fallon shot a double bogey while Tiger shot a bogey.

Actually you're mistaken. Tiger shot a bogey and fallon shot a double bogey in the rematch on fallon's show. In the actual match in times square, fallon won.

I guess a lot of the people weren't listening because that is what I heard also, seems to me that Tiger is the winner!!! Yeah, Yeah,
Fallon is not only a Loser in Wii golf! I am really upset that he did this to Tiger, treating him this way, I'll never watch that Idiot again..

How about we let Tiger Woods try his hand at being a host? "Late Night With Tiger Woods" :) Maybe Tiger will beat Jimmy in the ratings.

If I beat Tiger in video golf, I'd challenge him to 18 at Pinehurst. Considering my 20+ handicap, I get a stroke a hole on every hole and 2 on the toughest 5. Also, he plays from the tips and I play from the ladies tees. Final score: Tiger 69, me 74 (handicap considered). Damn.

Fallon vs Tiger in Wii is interesting, but the battle on everyones mind is Conan vs. Letterman... Check out the tale of the tape at The Campus Socialite!
