Tiger Not Crazy About Liberty National

Tiger Woods is often criticized for using a bunch of words to not say much of anything. At this point, it's almost expected whenever there's a mic in his face. But Woods, who is in the field at The Barclays, the first leg of the FedExCup, was allegedly very frank in his assessment of Liberty National.

Via the Bergen Record's Ian O'Connor:
According to Sanjay Jha, a Motorola executive and one of three amateurs who played with Woods on Wednesday, Tiger took time out of their five-hour loop to joke, "Maybe [designer] Tom [Kite] did this course before his eye operation."
After the practice round, Woods elaborated. "It's interesting" was his response to a question about the course, an answer he repeated when asked, "In a good way?"

Tiger's lack of enthusiasm for the set-up didn't affect his demeanor during the pro-am. In fact, the guy Peter Thomson described as "morose and petulant" was anything but according to his playing partners.

"Tiger was very friendly with us and made you feel at ease," said Len Lauer, a Qualcomm executive and another member of Tiger's Pro-Am group.

"He was interested in everyone else playing with him," said Stu Francis of Barclays, a former Princeton All-American golfer and the third amateur in the group. "He would ask, 'What do you do for a living?' or say things like, 'You have a good game. What amateur tournaments do you play in?' Tiger was very complimentary if you hit a good shot. He couldn't have been nicer."

Your move, old-timer.
