Tiger Woods has never been one to hold his emotions in. When it isn't a full-out fist pump after a clutch birdie, it's a run-after-the-golf-ball point or a double-pump to the sky. It can also be frustration ... lots and lots of frustration.On Friday at the Duetsche Bank Championship, his frustration finally got the best of him. Standing on the fifth hole, Tiger blocked his driver right of the fairway into an unplayable lie that would eventually lead to a bogey. Usually in these instances, Tiger gives us the one-handed release of the club or the complete drop behind him. This was different. This was sheer meltdown. Tiger flung the golf club into some wasteland area 30 yards in front of him, leaving it up to Steve Williams to pry it out of the thick grass.

If you want something to sum up Tiger's last few weeks on the golf course, this is the video. He hasn't been the same guy, even if he's carding top-5 finishes by the handful, and he more than anyone else knows it. Tiger's driver wasn't necessarily the problem on his way to a 1-under 70, but it sure doesn't help when you can't find the fairway.
The temper tantrums were acceptable when he was a teenager on tour. They were accepted as passion when he was in his 20s, winning majors left and right. Now they're just ridiculous, and they need to stop. He is looking more and more childish by the day, and this is coming from one of Tiger's biggest supporters.

Never ever would you see a GREAT golfer of the past, ie Jack,Arnold,Sam etc. do the stupid childish things he does. Anybody who says "oh we would do the same", is full of it. WE don't get paid millions of $$$ and have indorsements out the yazoo. Not to mention a huge influence on the younger golfers of the world. Tiger grow up and play the sport as it should be - A GENTLEMENS SPORT !
We all know what a talented golfer Tiger is, now everyone can see how he loses all his "class" when he is not on top. And this is a guy who founded the "First Tee" to teach kids the good "virtues" of golf. Some may say well it is only this one time or he doesn't do it often. You are right because he haasn't played as poorly too often. But every time he does, it happens. What does that tell you? Good winner, poor loser. I'll take a Jack Nicklaus, Arnie Plamer, Gary Player, Freddy Couples, even "Fuzzy Zoeller" over Tiger ingrace under pressure.
Come on; he didn't throw/fling the club...he bounced it off the truf and let it keep going! Give the guy a break; who of us hasn't done that..and even worse that our playing partners had to duck. Maybe Tiger needs to take a Stress Mgt. class or just realize that he needs to just laugh at his bag shot, not go balistic. That will relax him...it does for me.
Ther's no question that Tiger will surpass Jack with the Majors thing; Nicklaus was my favorite when I was growing up, but Tiger is a level above and once he relaxes, his game will be back.

Dare we say it, could this be roid rage? No reporter dares mention or hint at it for fear of retaliation. The PGA tour does not dare suspend him even if he ever does test positive because he is the golden goose of golf. It has been stated that he work out a lot, but is his increased size do only to working out or has he had some help? In this day and age of atheletes trying to get an edge, is anyone above suspicion?
"jtzgolfer" give us all a break! Why do you Tiger lovers always try to justify his behavior on the course? "He bounced it 30 yards?" He has no class and his arrogance equals no one. And by the way...most of us who do respect the sport...have never thrown a club asshole...whether you and your buds have or not!
OK, both sides of the argurment need to get a grip. He displayed poor sportsmanship and set a bad example, but goes that necessarily negate all the charities he has founded or contributed to? And even a tiger hater has to face the inevitable breaking of Jack's records. Even Jack has said that it is not if, but when. As for the steroids reference, you have got to be kidding!
Oh, and I need spell check.
So, Tiger had a bad day and lost his temper, so what, that is part of what makes him Number One, Best golfer of all time.
Today he got back in the game, don't count him out YET. We have two more days of golf to go and he may not win but he will sure be in the hunt.
Also Tiger will beat all the other golfers, just sit back and enjoy because without Tiger golf will never be the same.
As far as class goes, he has a lot more class than all the people that like to criticize, being critical is not too classy.
Since my last comment re Tiger I notice that one of the people who did criticize him used a cuss word, NOT classy on your part.
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, get my drift. You are doing what you criiticize Tiger for.
Also last week I notice Marino threw his club when he had a bad shot, why not criticize him.

A beautiful wife, two gorgeous kids, all the money in the world, talent overflowing, he has got to get back to basics and focus on his game, family and control. I believe he is the greatest there ever was and only he can can mess it up.
