It wasn't if he'd win, it was just by how many. Tiger Woods, in the third leg of the FedEx Cup, blitzed the field, the golf course and the gallery on his way to his sixth victory of the season at the BMW Championship.
Woods' third round 62 put the distance between him and the field, and a Sunday 68 that included just one bogey, on the par-4 5th hole, put Tiger at 19-under, eight shots ahead of Jim Furyk and Marc Leishman.
The win has Tiger on top of the FedEx Cup points standings, which are adjusted before the Tour Championship in two weeks. It also put Tiger at the top of the Player of the Year race, as if he wasn't already.
As you all know, Tiger is the kind of guy that doesn't normally let leads wither, so losing his two-stroke advantage at the PGA Championship a month ago was more of a fluke than anything else. This time, Tiger did what he does best ... hits fairways (79 percent on Sunday), find putting surfaces and keep that Scotty Cameron as hot as it's ever been (he tied for second in putts per round).
It was Tiger's 71st victory of his career, and the second time this season that he has finished a tournament 19-under or better (he was 20-under at the Buick).

No doubt about it, Tiger has earned the player of the year award. Voted by his peers, who else can they vote for? No one. Simply the best, better than all the rest. Oh yeah, Yang Chung finished 30 strokes behind Tiger. Another one hit wonder chokes on Tigers dust. Booya!

Tiger, Tiger Woods y'all! I just love him! Regardless if he is 1st or 31st. Ever since I saw him win the Masters' back in '97 I am in awe of him. He has brought golf to the mainstream like no one else. Ask the TV network. And I just love to watch that backside on the last day in those black pants!! And yeah, he married a white woman! Big Deal! I know plenty of black women who are pissed off. I am happy because he is happy with his wife and kids! Do your thang baby!

The imaginary title of "Best Player Ever" is nonsense. It can't be measured in terms of most majors, or even most tour wins. It is immeasurable. For instance, what if a young phenom started his pro career and won every tournament he entered in his first year, including four majors. He dies suddenly in a car accident with a record of 20 wins and no losses. Where should he rank with only 4 majors and 16 regular tour wins against Jack's 18 and 73, respectively?

I totally agree, when Tiger looses a tournament lots of negative comments but when Tiger wins its a different story.
Considering that he has nine years re the age factor to pass Snead there is no doubt that it will happen, he could easily do it in four years barring any injurys.

Tiger is an inspiration to me, a role model for kids, and I, too, feel fortunate to see this amazing golfer do his thing during my lifetime. He is the greatest golfer ever, the complete package. It is a thrill to see him play, win or lose. He is a class act all the way. While I always pull for him to win his tournaments, even in his losses, he gives it his all, and is a pleasure to watch.
