A hateful message aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama, and involving a swastika, was carved in to a Boston-area golf course green early Monday morning. The Secret Service has already been called in to investigate.
At Lakeville Country Club in Lakeville, Mass., someone carved the message, "I (the Swastika symbol) Obama," into the 18th green. Course owner Gary Mosca talked to the Boston Herald about the incident:
"I said, 'This is sick,'" said Mosca, whose home is also located on the 18th hole. "They are going to do this stuff and cause a problem just to be anti-establishment or just to be tough guys. Their minds are probably demented enough to think of anything."As the act involved the president, the Secret Service has been called to Lakeville to investigate the vandalism, and to see if they can find the people that damaged the green and indirectly threatened the president.
"It's being investigated," said Steven Ricciardi, the special agent in charge for the Secret Service's Boston office. He declined further comment.Due to the despicable act, Mosca said the green at the golf course will be damaged until next spring.
Either way, for the next few months, this country club will be best known as a place where sports and politics collided in a way that should have been avoided altogether.

Maybe Mosca was looking for a some cash from his policies....

Crap-- you mean there are Republicans living in Boston, too? Certainly noone else would be so foul as to carve swastikas combined with a sitting President's name! (Come to think of it-- does anyone know where Glenn Beck was on Sunday night? Just wondering...)

Actually, to the guy who claims to be an adjuster; I am in the insurance business. And if the course is covered against "special or all perils" they would be covered. Being an adjuster, surely you would know that "vandalism" is a covered peril.

Dr. King always said there was more hate and prejudice in places like Boston than in Alabama. I am Irish and grew up understanding that there are two kinds of Irish: the Kennedy kind and the hate mongering, racist bigoted kind. Guess which kind plays golf at this course?

This is the reason why I don't like Boston. It is not diverse enough for me. It reminds me of how America used to be. I am not at all surprised.

Going to call the secret service to spend more our tax dollars, that's what Obama's are all about. Of course no one likes them! What else is new!

You also have to remember, rich folk have different policies, and different policies regarding adjusters. Here in Houston, people are still working through lawyers for damages inflicted by Hurricane Ike, that are clearly covered by their policies but not honored by their insurance companies. It doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about mandatory enrollment for health care coverage. I don't want to contribute to some corporation's bottom line, when I'm pretty sure they're going to put the screws to me.

There might be "hate mongering, racist bigoted" types with the money to play at this club, but an act like this provides no advantage in the quest for greater wealth, which is where the smart ones work toward their agenda. A caddie watching the priveleged wealthy members knock around a little ball for fun when they're barely paying their bills? There might be a little animosity there.

Yes there are many freedom loving persons in this country, the problem is that many of the things coming out of Washington seem to be socolistic, and that's not what a freedom thinking person wants, the government has little right to get into the areas that our current president seems to be headed. The color of the man means nothing, but his actions do. I am however tired of hearing everyone who says anything against his actions being called a racist.

I just need to clarify something. If I expressed that I hated George Bush when he was in office, and the I (swastika) Obama was a pretty tame example of what the left said and did in vandalized property, then it's freedom of speech. But if I say it about Barack Obama, then it's a crime serious enough to be investigated by the secret service? Is that right? How about that?

Because the opposers of Bush's policies confined their commentary to just that --HIS POLICIES! These people are hateful, racist, jerks. I hope tha secret Service finds them and they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!
