Scott Piercy was born in Las Vegas 31 years ago next month. He still lives there and earlier this week wife Sara gave birth to the couple's third child. On Sunday he will try to make his hometown the site of his first career PGA Tour victory. The tour rookie shot 65 Saturday at TPC Summerlin and shares the 54-hole lead with Chad Campbell, who shot 67 and happens to be a former University of Nevada-Las Vegas player.
The co-leaders are 17-under and one shot in front of Martin Lard, who shot 67.

George McNeill (63), Jason Bohn (65), Jeff Klauk (66) and Bob Heintz (68) are all tied at 16-under.
"It has been a nice quietness," Piercy said of his week. "My legs have been weak all week. But it has been good overall, just taking it one shot at a time, which is the goal.
"I'd love to win first of all. Having a kid the same week. Being at home. It's like Mecca almost."
Campbell, seeking his fifth career PGA Tour title, appeared to have the inside track to the 54-hole lead. Campbell holed his approach shot from 139 yards for eagle on the 12th hole and followed with birdies on two of his next three holes to take the lead, but gave it back with a double-bogey at 16.
He fought back to claim a share of the lead with a birdie at the 18th, hitting his approach from 182 yards to inside five feet and making the birdie putt.
Campbell is trying to salvage a season that has been particularly disappointing. After losing in a playoff at the Masters, he has not had a top-10 finish since.
