Anthony Kim and Robert Allenby to Play in World Match Play Semifinals

In a rematch that is sure to disappoint bar owners in Caseras, Spain, Anthony Kim and Robert Allenby are set to square off in the World Match Play Semifinals on Saturday, giving us a much-needed golf treat during the offseason.

As you probably remember, Kim and Allenby played against each other at the Presidents Cup earlier this month during the Sunday singles matches, with Kim defeating Allenby 5 and 3, only to have the Australian rip Kim for partying the night before their match.
Maybe we should all take the theory of Anthony Kim," Allenby said at the Presidents Cup. "Get home at 4 o'clock (in the morning) and then go shoot 6 under."

Asked if his comments were on the record, Allenby said, "I don't care. Ask his playing partners. Ask his team. He is the loosest cannon in that team."

Allenby went on to call the 24-year-old Kim golf's "current John Daly."
The two have since buried the hatchet, with Allenby admitting that he not only called Kim to apologize, but, shockingly, was taken out of context by the media. Kim's response was equally political, saying, "We are both moving on, and I don't have anything more to say about the issue. I had a great experience at my first Presidents Cup and look forward to competing in many more international team competitions for my country."

This will be the first time the two have played together since the incident, and for anyone who has ever played sports knows, it will not just be the type of friendly match that usually happens during competition. I'm sure Kim isn't a fan of Allenby and obviously Robert doesn't love the way Kim approaches the game, so having them face each other in match play will be a good time.

That said, it isn't like Kim is going to change how he approaches life. His quote after hearing he'd be playing Allenby in this match?
"I'm going to be in bed by 9:30," Kim said Friday.
I guess the calimocho will have to wait for another day.
