Tiger Woods has finally released an official statement addressing the questions surrounding his car accident early Friday morning.In the statement, Woods says the crash that sent him to the hospital was his fault and has been an embarrassing situation for him and his family. He goes on to rip the tabloid rumors that are circulating in the aftermath.
"This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way," Woods says. "Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible."

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.

He has to fall on his sword. He can't let his wife get charged for abuse. She obviuosly loves him or she wopuld't have done a Carmela Soprano on him. That being said it's a shock to my system to realize my hero has feet of clay. He is doing the right thing about holding onto the ugly truth.

when he finally appears in public again i hope they video him in ultraviolet light. that way we can all examine the wounds on his face that he thought had healed and disappeared. then we can decide if they were caused by an accident or fit of rage.

I didn't realize you were inside Tiger Woods house and witnessed what did or did not happen. The media is just trying to make this a big story because they have nothing else to report.
Gated communities apparently has its advantages. Their own private oasis that the cops can't even have their way.
This is my take. A domestic dispute takes place after wife hears of infidelity. In fit of rage she hits Tiger in the face with object. Tiger leaves house bleeding with cuts. Furious wife breaks car window with golf club while car leaves. Tiger either loses consciousness or deliberately hits fire hydrant and tree as cover up of injuries.
I need to think with my upper head not my lower one.
Just you and I try to tell the police "I'll talk to you when I want to." Yeah! we'd get away with that!!

When you become famous by hitting a little white ball with a club into a hole then you can get away with anything. Besides, he wrote a couple of checks to the law enforcement agency for a few tickets to the Policeman's Ball.
Hey big guy...1st off you or I would not even be questioned about where we were going at 2am, we would be tested as was Woods, for the content of alchohol in his blood, zero. Under LAW, Woods or you or I are NOT required to tell the police anything except our insurance info, drivers lic. and vehicle registration, which was done. Anything else, is NOT under law required, this man is being harassed by the POLICE more than you or I, did you nitice two State POlice cars entering his subdivision on sunday, this is the 3rd. time the State Police have driven out to his HOME just to ask him, WHAT...where were you going at 2a.m., its none of their fricking business, what information could possible have any revelence to this case, in fact WHAT CASE, its a single car, car accident, car hits fire hydrant and tree. End of story. Why is this embarrassing if Tiger's wife didn't beat him up. The fans of Tiger Woods need to be told the truth about what he did of his wife did. He has always been a liar and a cheat and he will pay. Another thing; why is he not talking to officials if it is nothing serious and it was just an accident? He does have something to hide and she just may go to jail anyway, because the police say charges are pending. What does that mean? It means that she may get charged with abusing him anyway even if Tiger doesn't talk to police.

Poor little Tiger is a crybaby. You and I? The police would have tossed us in jail for destruction of public and private property.
