It was widely reported on Monday -- stemming from a TMZ claim -- that the Florida Highway Patrol was actively seeking a warrant to obtain Tiger Woods' medical records in order to determine if the golfer's injuries were "consistent with a car accident or domestic violence."The Florida Highway Patrol has, however, said in a release that those claims (appear) to be untrue:
"Mr. Woods' representatives have provided us with his driver's license information, vehicle registration and current proof of insurance, as required by Florida Law," a representative said via email.
"Contrary to various media reports, the Florida Highway Patrol has not made any comments regarding the details of the ongoing crash investigation involving Tiger Woods as it relates to medical information, or any other aspect of this investigation.
"The crash investigation is ongoing and charges are pending."
That does not serve to immediately clarify TMZ's report, of course. It would seem that the Highway Patrol is simply saying it hasn't commented on the issue of obtaining a warrant, which is something that's kind of implied by the notion of TMZ having a source inside the FHP in the first place.
But it also underscores the importance of how law enforcement plans on handling this. Read: carefully. Tiger has won lawsuits related to his privacy before, and while there's nothing wrong with the Highway Patrol doing its due diligence, it certainly does not want cross any potential legal or ethical lines in the investigation by following leads that would jump to unnecessary conclusions.

Tiger could clear this all up instead of trying to cover it up, remember that is what got Nixon. All Tiger has to come out and say his wife beat the hell out of him for screwing another women and he won;t do it again. Tiger didn't want the police in to take a look at where she beat the hell out of him and for her to get arrested. He should tell them from now on he will sink his holes on the golf course instead of in high class women of the night.
